Knitting News
Our most exciting new yarns are from
right here in Maine, from our friends at Done Roving. We have a
very soft hand dyed blend of wool and mohair, knit up in a scarf
using the linen stitch….it is beautiful….luscious colors and a soft
drapey hand. Another great yarn is the silk wool blend from Done
Roving. The colors are soft and lively, and the feel of this yarn
is heavenly. It makes a scarf you really do want next to your
skin!! And lastly also from Done Roving are several great sock
yarns….we have samples knit up...so don’t miss out on this great
yarn.
We have restocked Tatemy Tweed (by
popular demand), which is a cotton and acrylic blend that is machine
washable and dryable. Tatemy Tweed is now available in worsted weight,
and we have several great colors in both worsted and dk weight.
In the sock department, Plymouth Happy
Feet has been a huge seller...in fact its been hard to keep it in
stock. We are expecting a shipment in a couple of weeks, along with
more fixation sock yarn from Cascade, along with a replenishment of our
Cascade 220 selections.
For you Berroco Plush fans, we have an
adorable baby hoodie, that makes a wonderful baby gift. So stop by and
check out what’s new!!

Quilt News
It is that
time of year when new fabric is blooming everywhere. We just received
several pieces of the Benartex Flower Show II….big beautiful blooms in
great colors. We are doing a drunkard’s path kaleidoscope quilt that
will surely stimulate your ideas on ways to use these great prints.
Several pieces of Amy Butler and Kaffe Fassett fabrics are among the
other recent arrivals. These have fairly soft colors in wonderful
geometric patterns. As usual the batiks are coming in at a steady pace,
with several shipments spaced throughout the summer. Among the many new
batiks we expect, are several from Hoffman and Timeless Treasures. We
will have a complete selection of a group called Tonga Dimes, which
comes with a great free pattern. And we will have Bali Pops from
Hoffman, 40 prepackaged 2 1/2” strips.
Another
exciting new collection is the Taxi fabrics from Timeless Treasures,
which are black, white and vibrant yellow!! This also has a wonderful
free pattern. For the kids in your life, we have several pieces of
Thomas the Tank Engine coming, as well as an adorable farmyard
collection, and an cuddly flannel collection.
We have
added several new patterns to our quilted bag selections, and of course
new books are arriving at regular intervals. We have several new kits
including Jungle Log Cabin, Golf Ladies (Lorelie Panel), To the Rescue
which features emergency vehicles, and a lovely Log Cabin from Judy
Martin’s new book. Celebrate your “stay-cation” here at
