 Quilt News

We have had such a great response to the Aurifil thread that we have added 40 weight thread which is even nicer for machine quilting.  We have both the Mark Lipinski and the Pat Sloan collections of Aurifil.  We are also now able to special order cones if anyone is interested.  Also new in notions is a lighted, telescoping pin picker-upper...great for those of who think bending over should be named an Olympic sport.

New fabrics include several bolts from the Northcott Leading Ladies and Supporting Cast collection that will be used in the April State of Maine Shop Hop, Laurel Burch Magical Horses (check out the bag that Mary made with this fabric!), several dozen new batiks from Island Batik, Hoffman, Moda, Batik Textiles and Bali, Retros designed by Amy Butler, Kaffe Fassett, Jane Sasseman and more, flannels from Moda featuring pine cones, leaves and other woodsy motifs, and a very large new selection of landscape fabrics, which have arrived just in time for the Jo Diggs class!!  Another collection just in is the latest April Cornell from Moda, another beautiful collection of yellows and blues in florals, stripes and plaids.

Mary has also made a Bali bag that is very cute, and Winnie (Betsy’s mother) has done a fabulous messenger bag in both batik and retro fabrics.  Winnie has also made a great sample of a fabric notebook holder.  Mary and Lyndarella have joined forces on another clothesline bag that will be completed soon.  Our balsam bags were such a big hit over the holidays that we are continuing to stock the materials and the already made bags.  We will soon have a sample available for an adorable fairy fabric quilt.
